Privacy policy

Last updated October 7, 2026.

Deck of Shadows is a single-player card game, available as an iPhone and Android app and in the browser at deckofshadows.com. This policy covers the game and this website. In short: the game itself collects nothing, and the website only keeps what you choose to send us.

The game

Your progress (gold, shards, unlocked items, settings, the run you're playing and your wanderer's name) is saved only on your own device. It never leaves your device and we can't see it. Deleting the app, or clearing this site's data in your browser, deletes it. You can also erase it from Settings inside the game.

The game has no accounts, doesn't ask for your name, email or contacts, doesn't use your location, camera or microphone, and contains no advertising or analytics software.

This website

We only collect what you type into our two forms:

Form entries are stored privately on our web host (HostGator), outside the public website. We never sell or share them. To have your entries deleted, or to stop beta emails, write to us at the address below.

Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to run and protect the site. The site uses no advertising or tracking cookies.

Purchases

If the app offers in-app purchases, they're handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. We never receive your payment details.

Children

The game and this site are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

Changes

If the game adds features that handle personal information (for example cloud saves, leaderboards or analytics), we'll update this policy before they're released and change the date above.
